Strengthening neighbourhood culture through networking and the organization of festivals
The Harzer Kiezfeste project focuses on the joint planning and organization of a neighbourhood festival and the creation of a neighbourhood network. With the support of committed actors (AG) from the neighbourhood, cultural exchange opportunities, workshops and festivals are organized. Formats that focus on culture and music create connections between the communities and strengthen community life.
Wishes and needs are identified with representatives from the communities and all interested stakeholders in order to make the stage program and the games and sports activities at the festival inclusive. The many different perspectives and resources are pooled and support the creation of a common neighborhood identity.
The Kiezfest network contributes with a great deal of commitment to strengthening the attractiveness of the neighborhood beyond the district boundaries. Workshops offer the opportunity to learn the right skills to organize the Kiezfest themselves in the future and build sustainable structures.
The Kiezfest network is open to residents who would like to take on various tasks around the festival. Helping hands, cultural or artistic contributions or ideas from the various communities are particularly welcome. All interested parties are welcome.
The aim of the fund is to implement sustainable, structure-promoting measures that achieve the action goals from the action and development concepts in the neighborhood management areas. Before projects are put into concrete terms, the neighbourhood management team determines what is needed.
